Welcome to the Charitable Brain, a blog on the psychology and neuroscience of charitable giving and related concepts such as empathy and prosocial behaviour.
I’m Jo Cutler, a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oxford. My research uses behavioural and neuroimaging methods to study charitable giving and prosocial decisions. I hope it will be useful to organisations to increase donations! I did my PhD at the University of Sussex in the Social Decision Lab, website here.
Join the Science of Giving mailing list to be the first to hear about our research findings, news and events.
The blog is aimed at everyone whether you’re a researcher too, work for a charity or are just interested in the subject. Please get in touch if you have any feedback, questions or just want to say hello. You can email J.Cutler@sussex.ac.uk or follow me on twitter @DrJoCutler.
