Welcome to the Charitable Brain, a blog on the psychology and neuroscience of charitable giving and related concepts such as empathy and prosocial behaviour.
I’m Jo Cutler, a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Social Decision Neuroscience Lab at the University of Oxford. My research uses behavioural and neuroimaging methods to study charitable giving and prosocial decisions. I hope it will be useful to organisations to increase donations! I did my PhD at the University of Sussex in the Social Decision Lab, website here.
The blog is aimed at everyone whether you’re a researcher too, work for a charity or are just interested in the subject. Please get in touch if you have any feedback, questions or just want to say hello. You can email jo.cutler[at]psy[.]ox[.]ac[.]uk or follow me on twitter @DrJoCutler.
